Designed by the British Army Corps of Engineers HQ in Roorkee India in the 1890s. This collapsable field chair was popular among military officers and expeditionary interests up until WWII . These comfortable lounge chairs are held together with mortise and tenon joinery and a few leather straps. They knock down easily and fit into a duffle for easy portage. Traditionally made in canvas These chairs are crafted with full grain cowhide for added luxury. 

The swivel back and robust joinery allow for a comfortable seat on any terrain. From the dense jungles to your living room den this chair will serve you for a lifetime.

Legs and Stretchers are white oak with a linseed oil and beeswax finish. White oak is exceptionally strong and weather resistant.

Hand dyed. Hand Stitched and set with brass hardware and copper peened rivets

Adjusts to uneven terrain in the field.
